“gaining” and hour?

I mentioned in a previous post that I am attempting to find a new rhythm for my blog posting.

My intention, for now, is to post every other week.  However, this week I decided I wanted to do an extra post because of the time change since it is often referred to as “gaining” an hour.

My husband is a morning person and he loves the “spring forward” time change.  I am not a morning person.  I despise the “spring forward” time change because after it happens, I feel likeI am getting up an hour early for a couple of weeks until I get adjusted to it. (Because I am!)  I embrace the “fall back” time change because I feel like I’m getting up an hour later until my body adjusts to it.  Getting up an hour later is something I can easily do.  Any day.

My husband is the opposite.  He looks forward to the “spring forward” change and dreads the “fall back” time change.

What did you do with the hour you “gained” today?

I enjoyed mine.  ALL DAY LONG!

Other than my watch, my computer, and my cell phone, which update automatically, all the other clocks in the house require manual resetting.  The clock on the stove, on the microwave, the clock in the living room, the clock in the bedroom – all require manually resetting them.  I left them.  I’ll let my husband take care of them when he gets back from fishing.

It has given me the opportunity to repeatedly enjoy “gaining” an hour all day long.

It has made it easier for me to stop and do something I enjoy – because I still have an hour to get to the stuff I don’t enjoy as much.

It has felt great, all day long, to glance at a clock around the house and think I should really get started on this or that and then realize that I have another HOUR. I love it! Tomorrow at work, the effect will be the opposite, but for now, I’m embracing the part I enjoy.

How about you?  Are you a “spring forward” or a “fall back” fan?
